Our Background
We are a family run farming business in North-Central Victoria, with a passion for cows and making hay! We strive to produce the highest quality product for our customers while preserving our environment and resources for the next generation.
Our Products
Poll Herefords
We began breeding Poll Herefords in 2011 and our commercial breeding program utilises superior genetics (both AI and natural servicing) from highly regarded Poll Hereford studs throughout the country. Our herd was originally built around Bowen and Cascade bloodlines, with the more recent additions of Mawarra, Yalgoo, River Recede and Glen Goulburn sires. We place emphasis on calving ease, fertility and temperament as well as structure and carcass. We aim to produce animals that are not only efficient beef producers but also low maintenance, functional additions to your herd.
Hay production and sales
We run an intensive hay making program, to ensure the best quality fodder production not only for our own use on farm but also for sales to the horse, cattle, sheep, goat and alpaca industries. Specialising in irrigated lucerne, we also produce rye/clover and cereal based hays and straw in both large rounds and small square bales. Our pastures and crops are managed specifically for making premium quality hay and therefore undergo stringent quality control regarding weed and pest control, fertiliser applications and irrigation.
